Vista will come to almost 1.25 years lifespan in April this year after a public release on January 07. Being an enthusiast, I always eyed for the Ultimate edition and got hand on it only in June last year and I was not really satisfied with the whole WOW experience. Some things are greatly enhanced and usability increased rapidly but it also needed a much fine tune and performance increasers at many places throughout the OS. Thus when MS announced much awaited SP1 and released Public Betas of it, I was a but wager to have the final as soon as possible. I do not have a test machine, so downloading and installing/removing part is not clearly my favourite in case of SP1 Beta and RC2. Got some :caugh: :caugh: versions also but did not installed them, as I do not rely on them. I am now looking forward to the final release as scheduled this month and getting slowly desperate and annoyed by the delay!

MICROSOFT, give us SP1 faster!!!

These days I am not too much involved into blogging and frankly speaking, not even with the Internet! Some crucial exams are dead ahead of me and I am looking forward for good scores in these. The last month of revision is March and it is already started! I am running real short of time soon.

The whole April is riddled with exams, starting from the second Sunday and continuing through next 2 Sundays. Three exams are all MCQ based and thus I will have to be fast to answer those in the given short time.

Think think think, Debsuvra, you will have to succeed in these exams!

Amazingly for me, I got a serious eye sickness for some days throughout this month. Last day I went to an ophthalmologist for a check up on my eyes and after some bizarre groups of weird testings he said I should visit him in coming days to check whether I am developing a Glaucoma or not. I am still worried from then and now a eery felling is chilling my spine. I am really tensed now. Let's see what happens in the coming test, wish I do not develop anything bad.

At last I changed from Wordpress to Drupal and also changed the domain name to www.suvraconnected.co.cc Though it is still free and I am still out of money, I am going to buy a domain real soon.

Drupal is more over suffiecient for a Blogger to have his website running and the latest v6 has only released yesterday. I am not rushing to use it as there are some module incompatibility with the new one. I will upgrade after a few months.

After saying so much against vista in a damn number of Vista, I finally installed Vista Ultimate yesterday in my PC with SP1 RC. Previously I installed it on May 07, but was not satisfied with the service it offered. But now with SP1 RC, I am feeling a bit elevated using a great operating system in my PC.
By the way, my PC configuration is not a good looking one, rather a baby compared to the rest of today's Biggies. Still it is capable of delivering AERO, nVidia FX 5200 is just fine with AERO, a bit shaky though.
Vista is a very stable one, as I use it. I already used Ubuntu 7.10 and not satisfied with the service as it can hang many times in the GRUB menu. At least Vista is not going to stop at boot menu. No errors till now, no hanging nor infamous BSOD. Pretty good except for the price here. Microsoft is going to Apple way here at the price. Everything else is good to use and also a visual pleasure.

I cannot afford a paid hosting for now. So I opted for a free hosting from some company. They have some conditions to set up a account, either post some posts in a certain forum, or click ads on their domain or opt for a ad-crampled account etc. I thought the forum posing method is better from the rest, at least for me. I posted a gazillion of posts in certain forum and wanted an account. Got it now, installed wordpress and Zip Zap Zoom. After a good service from 6th Jan, at last today I see my site is down. Meanwhile every site is down that was hosted on the server. This made me crazy now, I dont think that it is a example of 99.5% uptime here, rathar a example of 30% downtime.

So, internet is pay and use as always. NO MONEY ? GET OUT YOU MORON !

After downloading Windows XP SP3 RC on 31st December 07 I installed it on the 1st day of this year and within 15 min, the installation gone fine. I rebooted and started the new upgraded one. I was hoping some performance upgrades, but XP is running with the same speed as it used to be. No cut-off in the boot up time, no noticeable improvements. I think that the stability is a bit improved with the previous bu fixes, but it is not noticeable to a average computer user. Sometimes starting some Hard Disk related applications like HD Tune and other Benchmarks freezes the system for a few seconds and then it is back again, I think this is just a glitch and will be fixed on the RTM version coming this year. Nothing new on features also, as Microsoft already said. So finally this is a bunch of bugfixes weaved together in a so called service pack, nothing better to boast for.
