I know everyone in the whole earth can blame me for this. Everybody would say “I warned you earlier but you were too arrogant to hear us”. I did not hear, I know. Completely my fault, I have to admit now since my website hosted on a complete free hosting service is down for the last 15 days!

Everyone was recommending a paid hosting and domain name as soon as possible. I was just waiting for my Credit Card to arrive, since I only applied in August. But the wait did not help my site to remain live. I'm now unable to download the backups even, so good for me.

So I opened yet another blog but this time I am going to stick with it. Really, it is a promise until I get my own domain and paid hosting. Visit http://feelingmatters.wordpress.com for my latest bakwaas.

Yesterday, 30th May of 2008 was a day of great significance for me, at least it was supposed to be a good day for me. I tried hard this year and did everything one student can do from a far away town named Jalpaiguri. But the result blown away my hopes and my dreams, almost completely. I just got a chance in Extended Merit List for IISER or ISRO, but not a single one for the IITs, IT-BHU or ISMU.

I am in a state of great grief and anxiety, did not even know that failure can hit a man so hard by destroying his dreams and aspirations. Now I cant think of my future now, without IITs. I always wanted to study Physics from a reputated Institution and still preferring it over other Engineering courses. So IISER might be a good option for me but I am not sure about getting chances there.

Lets see what happens....

After half and a month long haul with the exams, finally all of them are over (almost). Even the ever delaying WBJEE was also been executed in the last Saturday. Now I am not someone who is very busy with the studies but a hell lot amount of tensions is floating in the air as tomorrow is declaration of IITJEE 08. I am madly eager to get into any of the coveted 7 institutions (with 3 new proposed to open this year) in India. This is a question of Life to me as it can always set the career of a Student in full swing.

I do not know what's awaiting me when I'll open the result website but I hope this could be the year to start a better career with IITs for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, wish I will get the chance.

Exam season is on and three consecutive Sundays have 3 important exams. I got one over at 13th April with other 2 at hand. WBJEE is on the doorstep and going to be on the next Sunday noon. I am not really excited about it and got some serious fear about the exam now.

Don't know what is going to happen with me this year....

Yesterday I managed to download the Windows Vista SP1 RTM from some ***** place and tried it right after downloading in my PC. I did a clean install of Vista in a new partition and installed SP1 on it. Before trying it out from there, I slipstreamed it with Vista RTM DVD and used Windows Automated Installation Kit to create the .wim file for the DVD. Now what I have is a fully functional SP1 integrated disk and later I also installed SP1 directly from the media.

Nowadays I am trying SP1 with a great enthuasisam and checking the so called reliability and performance factors behind it. Though using it just for a day does not justify a quick decision made solely upon it, I am moreover satified what it is offering. The boot up and shutdown times are greatly improved and already decreased upto 25% in comparison with the previous build. AERO is great to use now and is tear free everywhere. The system resource usage is reasonably cut down and thus improving system performances. I am extensively checking the other parts of the OS to find out the differences.
